Future of 5G in India :

Well, As India is planning to gear up with 5G in telecommunications, there are many expectations and perception regarding 5G in every corner of society. Obviously covid19 will make delay it's commencement in India, but eventually we can expect it by 2022-23.
If we think of situations of two- three years ago, we were expecting it by 2020 but still we are out of its reach.

1# Covid19 pandemic- obviously covid19 has turned the priorities of governments. Now it is more important to adopt new life style than adopting new technology.
2# Financial conditions of Indian telecom companies- As we know, all the telecom companies of India going through very harsh financial condition (AGR payment issues) except jio reliance ( not fragile as other but not in very sound conditions). All of them( e.g. Airtel, Vodafone, Idea) have to pay a large sums of amount ( in thousands crore rupees) to government. So they are not in position to participate in the auction of 5G spectrum.
3# High rate of 5G spectrum (minimum price)
Well , from Government points of view too, it is very unlikely to start auction in such conditions, as gov. too wants to get profit from the auction. This year auction means that the company which is in position of availing 5G spectrum is only Jio reliance. So it will be very cakewalk and easy to get spectrum at very less price comparably in such situation.

Well there are more hurdles for 5G in india. That is infrastructure suited to 5G network.
Equipments setup provided by a few companies of world in which a major participants are huawei and ZTE of china, Ericsson, Nokia .
Well there are a few security concern regarding co. Like ZTE and huawei ( already banned by US) but in India , major telecom companies ( Airtel, Idea) rely on these Chinese co. for the equipments and it will not be easy to eliminate their options.

World with 5G- Well it is very expecting that 5G era will bring a tremendous changes in life style of masses. The quality of speed, response time of internet will be much higher and better than we are using with 4G. The term AI ( artificial intelligence), IoT ( internet of things) will be very applicable and prevalent in every strata of society with 5G technology.
Well it is getting expected to get more tha 1 GBps speed of internet with 5G technology in intial stages and it can be achieved up to 10 GBps at higher stages of development.
I think this will be the time when devices start communicating. ( Smart device like smart car)
It's higher speed and lower latency will create a real time experience. ( e.g gaming industry, robotics with AI)

India with 5G-  well there are many expectations regarding 5G in India but personally I am bit suspicious. And I have reasons for this suspicion.

# We are still using internet with a speed of 100 Mbps (max) in India which is very low speed in comparison to other countries. ( e.g. US max 4G speed 678 Mbps, Spain 4G speed 492Mbps, Australia 4G speed 950 Mbps which is greater than 5G speed of Australia)

So, we  lack even  in 4G upgradation.
Even though whenever 5G will be part of our life , we might be able to use max. speed and potential of this new technology.

#Well inspite of scalability of 5G technology, there is very suspicion about penetration level in India. 5G technology requires a very different and efficient equipments and infrastructure. These heavy and high towers will not be useful which are being used by telecom companies now a days. 5G technology will require a very small and a large no. of towers (e.g. nearly more than hundreds even in per square km for total coverage) which will not be easy and it will further require a huge cost for this purpose.

Except this there are a few concern of safety and privacy also lies with this technology.
Well still it is very fascinating to see our future with 5G. It might take a bit longer time to live a life we are envisaging but eventually it will happen.
